Emma Mason

Emma established Emma Mason PR in 2005, having worked initially as a news journalist and then heading up press offices in two FT-SE 100 companies. Local and national clients have included those in energy, gardening and food, with projects ranging from electricity pylon toppling with SSE, the quirky World’s Original Marmalade Awards and the all-electric MINI E car project.

With a focus on home, lifestyle and gardening clients, she has promoted Exbury Gardens in Hampshire, Yorkshire’s Newby Hall, leading composite door maker Truedor, open garden charity Scotland’s Gardens Scheme, no dig gardening expert Charles Dowding, BBC TV gardening presenter Mark Lane, designer and broadcaster Juliet Sargeant, garden planter firm Arthur Jack & Co, contemporary garden building maker Norwegian Log, premium peat free compost maker Dalefoot Composts and celebrity florist Jonathan Moseley. She has also publicised numerous RHS show gardens and trade stands, two Historic Houses/Christie’s Gardens of the Year, and a project for the late Beth Chatto OBE.

Emma has corporate PR experience in food retail, energy, personal finance and IT. She is an Associate Member of the Garden Media Guild and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

 

Sarah Cole

Sarah Cole is a senior PR professional with 25 years’ experience working predominantly in-house but also agency.  She has particular experience in the retail, consumer, food and FMCG sectors, working with well-known names including Superdrug, Homebase, Safeway, Charles Worthington and Lloyds Pharmacy.

She has been responsible for developing and delivering a series of effective, high profile consumer, trade, corporate and socially responsible PR campaigns, working on the Superdrug Fine Fragrance War which won a PR Week Award for Best PR Campaign, the Debbie & Andrew’s and HECK food companies that she has helped take from regional to award-winning national brands, plus celebrity fundraising for Breast Cancer Care to name a few.

Sarah has solid experience in the area of profile PR, having worked at company and managing director level with celebrity hairdresser Charles Worthington to promote his product and salon divisions and, more recently, several clients in the food and lifestyle arena to tell their story and get them on the map.

She has been a senior freelance PR consultant for many years, working on strategic and creative PR for Debbie & Andrew’s where she developed the hugely successful Pig In Boots campaign and HECK.  Sarah has also worked on PR campaigns for The Harrogate Sausage Company, Coconutgrass (online home & personalised gift company), Lily’s Kitchen, The Kitchen (make it yourself Michelin-star meals), Cook, Higgidy, Rude Health, Martin Miller’s Gin, The Licktators (luxury ice cream), Colgate Palmolive. The Chapel hairdressing & lifestyle company and children’s organic lifestyle brand Tatty Bumpkin.

Jane Southcott

Having initially trained as a journalist, Jane has over 30 years PR experience gained working across a wide range of business sectors, in senior roles for leading agencies Rex Stewart Grayling and McCann Erikson PR, plus in-house for a major logistics business.

For the last 20 years, Jane has run her own freelance PR consultancy and has developed a specialism in the gardening and horticultural sector. Clients include leading garden designers Chris Beardshaw, award-winning nursery Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants and Natural Swimming Pool inventors Biotop, plus supporting several specialist gardening events including Cottesbrooke Gardeners Fair. She has developed a niche role providing PR expertise to designers, nurseries, charities and sponsors at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, including 5 years as horticultural media consultant for Morgan Stanley’s Show Gardens.

Jane and colleague Emma Mason have created a ‘horti’ PR partnership, combining their many years of garden media expertise and shared values, to help support clients including leading publisher DK, no dig expert Charles Dowding, and landscape and training provider TASK Academy.
